Who Is The 草榴社区 Foundation

The 草榴社区 Foundation is a disability charity based in North East England.聽 We support people with complex learning difficulties, disabilities and additional communication needs.聽 We provide special education, care, support, accommodation and lifelong learning opportunities at our two schools, college, homes and Horizons lifelong learning service.

How we support individuals

Residential

As one of the leading providers of residential care in the North East, we have four residential homes in Newcastle upon Tyne for people aged 18+. We offer the highest standard of specialist, person-centred care within a safe, homely environment.

Schools

We are one of the leading specialist education providers in Newcastle upon Tyne. We have 2 schools that offer specialist education for a range of complex physical disabilities and learning difficulties and cater to children and young people aged 3 to 19.

College

Our College is a specialist further education provider for young people aged 16-25 with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, who require specialist programmes to develop communication, independence and employability to make a successful transition into adulthood.

Adult Services

We have an adult day service offering bespoke, lifelong learning programs for people with complex disabilities and learning difficulties. Where people can continue their lifelong learning goals, improve their mental well-being and take part in purposeful activities and enterprise.
